Basketball Recap: Leadership's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Two

If Lighthouse Community wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Leadership, they should've done a better job of containing Hannah Tagaga. Leadership claimed a resounding 56-13 victory over the Lighthouse Community Wolves thanks in part to Tagaga, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 12 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Leadership's points.

Another player making a difference was Aishah Raoufi, who almost dropped a double-double on 19 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The win made it two in a row for Leadership and bumps their season record up to 2-3. As for Lighthouse Community, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Leadership didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 64-12 victory against Bay Tech on the 11th. As for Lighthouse Community, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against AIMS College Prep at 4:30 p.m.
