Baseball Game Preview: Plainfield North Tigers vs. Oswego East Wolves

For the second straight game, Plainfield North will face off against Oswego East. The Tigers will welcome the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Plainfield North's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so Oswego East's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Plainfield North and Oswego East meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Monday. The Tigers put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 16-2 win. The Tigers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by six runs or more this season.

For Oswego East's part, Jacsen Tucker made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was Tucker's first of the season.

Oswego East has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Plainfield North, their victory bumped their record up to 14-7.
