Duluth hadn't beaten Brookwood on the road since May 16, 2015 but that history sure didn't bother them on Friday. The Duluth Wildcats won by a goal and slipped past the Brookwood Broncos 2-1. Given the Wildcats' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia soccer rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Broncos are ranked 96th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Duluth is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 15 goals over those five games. Brookwood's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-3.

Duluth has already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against Parkview on the 11th. As for Brookwood, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, a 4-1 defeat against Peachtree Ridge on the 11th.
