Softball Recap: Six Straight Road Victories for Rock Canyon

Rock Canyon had won six straight on the road, but on Friday they bumped up to 13-8 to make it seven. They blew past the Heritage Eagles 14-2. The Jaguars might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.

Lucy Longmire was a standout: she went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucy Ueland, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Rock Canyon was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .321 or higher in three consecutive matchups.

As for Heritage, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. Having soared to a lofty 15 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

On Heritage's side, Caitlin Chamaty made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles, one stolen base, and one RBI. Sydney Edwards was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.
