Basketball Game Preview: Douglas County Tigers vs. Carrollton Trojans

Douglas County is 0-5 against Carrollton since January of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Douglas County Tigers will take on the Carrollton Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Douglas County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Douglas County came up short against New Manchester on Saturday, falling 70-49. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while the Jaguar are ranked 36th).

Meanwhile, Carrollton unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Lakeview Academy by a score of 46-43.

Douglas County's loss dropped their record down to 2-18. As for Carrollton, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-7.

Douglas County took a serious blow against Carrollton when the teams last played back in January, falling 83-20. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Douglas County was down 47-9.
