Basketball Recap: Savion Mitchell Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Knightdale + How To Watch

Panther Creek won the last time they faced Knightdale and things went their way on Friday too. The Catamounts came out on top against the Knights by a score of 67-54. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Catamounts.

Panther Creek got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Savion Mitchell out in front who went 6-for-7 to rack up 12 points and eight boards. Mitchell is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Zy'Vaun Puckett, who dropped a double-double with 11 points and ten rebounds.

Knightdale's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tre Roper, who almost dropped a double-double with 12 points and nine boards. Jaden Morgan was another key player, putting up nine points.

Panther Creek has also opened the season with a perfect 2-0 record. As for Knightdale, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 2-1.

Panther Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 55-46 win against Southern Wake Academy on the 22nd. As for Knightdale, they have also already played their next game, a 57-46 victory against South Garner on the 22nd.
