Softball Game Preview: Albia Blue Demons vs. Clarke Indians

Albia is 9-1 against Clarke since June of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Blue Demons will square off against the Indians. Clarke took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Albia, who comes in off a win.

While Albia's victory against Des Moines Christian wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Blue Demons narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lions 3-1. The Blue Demons haven't had any issues with the Lions recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Meanwhile, Clarke was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Wayne.

Albia's win bumped their record up to 26-3. As for Clarke, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.

Albia took their victory against Clarke when the teams last played two weeks ago by a conclusive 7-1 score. Do the Blue Demons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Indians turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
