Softball Recap: Centennial Takes a Loss

Centennial fell victim to Westminster and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 7-0 to the Wildcats. The Knights haven't had much luck with the Wildcats recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Centennial saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Megan Bailey, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Iyanna Boykin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Centennial now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Westminster, they pushed their record up to 4-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Coincidentally, Centennial and Westminster will both be playing Long County the next time they take the field. The Knights will host the Blue Tide at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
