Basketball Recap: Dana Hills Takes a Loss

After soaring to 58 points the game before, Dana Hills was a bit more limited in their game on Wednesday. They were outmatched by the Anaheim Colonists and fell 57-23. The Dolphins were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Colonists apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

Melia Hinojos continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Anaheim, going 9 of 18 en route to 22 points and four steals. With that strong performance, Hinojos is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Ana Merida, who posted two points along with ten rebounds and eight steals.

Dana Hills' loss dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Anaheim, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-7.

Dana Hills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-27 victory against Aliso Niguel on the 9th. As for Anaheim, they will face off against Savanna at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
