Baseball Game Preview: McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers vs. Bluffton Bobcats

The McIntosh County Academy Buccaneers will head out to take on the Bluffton Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Last Friday, McIntosh County Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Jenkins County and fell 4-3. The Buccaneers haven't had much luck with the War Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

Meanwhile, Bluffton fell victim to Eastchester and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Bobcats haven't been shut out since back in March.

Tyler Wolfe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered a run (which was unearned) on two hits.

McIntosh County Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-18. As for Bluffton, they dropped their record down to 10-8 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

McIntosh County Academy might still be hurting after the 9-0 loss they got from Bluffton when the teams last played back in March. Can the Buccaneers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
