Recap: San Juan Spartans vs. El Camino Eagles
This season hasn't been kind to the San Juan Spartans, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They were dealt a 63-11 defeat at the hands of El Camino on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, San Juan can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 733rd, while El Camino is ranked 96th).
Noelle Potratz was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 30 points and 15 rebounds for El Camino. Potratz hasn't dropped below two blocks for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Taylor Stake, who scored 12 points along with 5 steals.
San Juan's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for El Camino, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. San Juan will face off against Foothill at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. El Camino's road trip will continue as they head out to face Burbank at 6:30 p.m. on November 29th. Hopefully Burbank focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 43 on Monday.
