Putnam Vo-Tech took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Central, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Beavers had just enough and edged out the Golden Eagles 3-2 on Monday. The victory was nothing new for the Beavers as they're now sitting on three straight.

Putnam Vo-Tech's win bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Central, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 11-1.

Putnam Vo-Tech didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Easthampton/Hampshire on the 1st. As for Central, they have also already played their next match, a 3-2 win against West Springfield on the 1st.
