Basketball Game Preview: Heritage Patriots vs. Liberty Lions

Heritage is 9-1 against Liberty since January of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The two teams will face off at 6:30 p.m. without much rest having both just played. The timing is sure in Heritage's favor as the team sits on four straight wins at home while Liberty has been banged up by seven consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.

On Monday, it was close, but Heritage sidestepped University for a 51-49 victory.

Heritage got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lily Wilright out in front who posted six points along with 17 boards and four steals. Those 17 rebounds gave Wilright a new career-high. Riley Bayot was another key player, putting up eight points and six steals.

Heritage smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 17 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Liberty faced off against San Domenico on Monday. Liberty took a blow against San Domenico, falling 63-33.

Heritage has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.9 points per game. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-11.

Heritage beat Liberty 57-46 when the teams last played back in February of 2024. Will Heritage repeat their success, or does Liberty have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
