Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Apple Valley). Everything went their way against the Hesperia Scorpions on Monday as the Apple Valley Sun Devils made off with a 9-1 victory. The result was nothing new for the Sun Devils, who have now won five contests by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Hesperia with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Jadyn Bechtel (3), Alia Collins (3), Eliana Martinsen (2), and Makayla Signorelli.

Apple Valley's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 10-0-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 20 goals over those five matchups. As for Hesperia, their loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 1-1-1 and their overall record down to 6-10-1.

Apple Valley will challenge Burroughs at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hesperia, they will square off against Sultana at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
