Basketball Game Preview: Valhalla Norsemen vs. Kearny Komets

After both having extra time off, the Valhalla Norsemen and the Kearny Komets will shake off the cobwebs and face off against one another at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Valhalla is looking for their season's first win.

Back in December of 2024, Valhalla was beaten by Steele Canyon 62-35.

Loss or not, Valhalla got some senior leadership from Songoli EkwoSi and Alica Sutton. Ekwosi posted eight points, while Sutton earned seven points.

Meanwhile, Kearny humbled Ramona with a 51-23 victory. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Komets.

Kearny has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Valhalla, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-7.

Valhalla came up short against Kearny when the teams last played back in November of 2023, falling 33-26. Can Valhalla avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
