McLean is 9-1 against Washington-Liberty since May of 2019 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Highlanders are taking a road trip to take on the Generals at 6:30 p.m. McLean's pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so Washington-Liberty's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Wednesday, McLean earned an 8-3 win over St. Albans. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Highlanders.

Meanwhile, Washington-Liberty beat Sidwell Friends 6-1 on Wednesday.

Washington-Liberty's victory was truly a team effort as eight different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jack Keane, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. That stolen base was Keane's first of the season.

McLean's win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.7 runs over those games. As for Washington-Liberty, their win bumped their record up to 10-7.

McLean took their victory against Washington-Liberty when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 9-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Highlanders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
