Basketball Recap: Sacramento Waldorf Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

After flying high against Highlands last Friday, Sacramento Waldorf came back down to earth. The Sacramento Waldorf Waves came up short against the Lincoln Fighting Zebras on Friday, falling 42-21. The Waves have struggled against the Fighting Zebras recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Aubrey Payne and Zoe Malena certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Payne posted nine points and five steals, while Malena put up four points.

Sacramento Waldorf's loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-5. As for Lincoln, their victory was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 9-3.

Sacramento Waldorf wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 42-20 win against Foothill on the 28th. As for Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 38-36 defeat against Rio Linda on the 28th.
