Baseball Recap: Hercules Drops Highest Score of Season Against Elite

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hercules). They were the clear victor by a 23-2 margin over the Elite Eagles on Wednesday. With that win, the Titans brought their scoring average up to 8 runs per game.

Nathaniel Melgoza made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring four runs and stealing Three bases. while going 2-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season.

In other batting news, William Hobbs was incredible, going 3-for-4 with six RBI, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in April of 2024. Wynston Bishop was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 1-for-3.

Hercules always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .639. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Hercules' victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Elite, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hercules will venture away from home to challenge Deer Valley at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Elite, they are taking a road trip to take on Swett at 3:30 p.m. on March 12th.
