Football Recap: Five Straight Road Victories for Palmview + How To Watch

The matchup between Palmview and Rio Grande City on Friday hardly resembled the 20-6 effort from their previous meeting. The Lobos sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 43-41 victory over the Rattlers. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Lobos considering their seven-point performance the matchup before.

Palmview pushed their record up to 4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 31.4 points this season. As for Rio Grande City, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, after each having a week off, Palmview and Mission will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:30 p.m. on October 10. The Lobos will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 35.8 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
