September 26, 2025: Rio Grande City, TX 78582 Palmview Lobos (La Joya, TX) followers went home pleased Friday as they saw their football team nip the host Rio Grande City Rattlers (Rio Grande City, TX), 43-41 in a league battle.
With the win, Palmview advances its record to 4-1 on the season. The Lobos host Mission (Mission, TX) to play the Eagles in a 5A-1 Region IV District 16 battle on Friday, October 10. The Eagles go into the battle with a record of 1-4. Mission lost 43-14 in their recent league battle against McAllen Memorial (McAllen, TX)
The Rattlers now have a 0-5 record. They play next when they travel to Rowe for a 5A-1 Region IV District 16 match on Thursday, October 9. Rio Grande City will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 49-3 league win over Juarez-Lincoln (La Joya, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 3-2.
