Baseball Game Preview: Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes vs. St. Andrew's Lions

The Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes will head out on the road to challenge the St. Andrew's Lions at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Saturday, Coastal HomeSchool beat Lowcountry Wildcats Athletics 7-4.

The team relied heavily on Saul Issa, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs he has posted over his last 13 matches. Jace Poppell was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Coastal HomeSchool was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, St. Andrew's can bid farewell to their seven-game losing streak thanks to their game on Monday. Everything went their way against Hardeeville as they made off with a 12-3 victory. The Lions not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 22nd.

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-13. As for Coastal HomeSchool, their record now sits at 13-14.

Coastal HomeSchool was able to grind out a solid victory over St. Andrew's when the teams last played on Thursday, winning 9-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hurricanes since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
