Basketball Recap: Petaluma Trojans vs. Justin-Siena Braves
The Petaluma Trojans lost against the Justin-Siena Braves back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The contest between Petaluma and the Braves wasn't particularly close, with the Trojans falling 49-30. Petaluma has struggled against the Braves recently, as their game on Thursday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Jordan Washington continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Justin-Siena, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 13 rebounds. Washington has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more rebounds the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Naveena Jackson, who scored six points along with six rebounds and three steals.
Petaluma's defeat dropped their record down to 12-14. As for Justin-Siena, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 games, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4 record this season.
Petaluma does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Justin-Siena will head out on the road to square off against the Wolves at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. American Canyon is on a 12-game streak of home wins, the Braves a six-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
