Tri got themselves on the board against Monroe Central on Friday, but Monroe Central never followed suit. They blew past the Golden Bears, posting  a  49-0 win. The score at the end of the third wound up being the final score as the Titans just coasted through the last quarter.
This one was won in the trenches and the lion's share of the credit has to go to  Isaiah Dewitt and  Masyn Chalfant. Dewitt rushed for 175 yards and one  touchdown on only seven carries while  Chalfant rushed for 109 yards and a pair of  TDs on only eight carries. That's the most  rushing yards  Dewitt has posted since back in September of 2024.

Those  wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 8  points in those games. As for Monroe Central, they dropped their record down to 1-3 with the  loss, which was their fifth straight  on the road dating back to last season.
 Coming up, Tri will challenge Centerville at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. As for Monroe Central, they will square off against Tindley at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. The Golden Bears will be up against the Tigers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 39  points per  match), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
