Softball Recap: Peachtree Ridge Comes Up Short

Peachtree Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lanier Longhorns. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Longhorns apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in August of 2016.

Peachtree Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lanier, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-3 record.

Coincidentally, Peachtree Ridge and Lanier will both be playing Providence Christian Academy the next time they take the field. The Lions will head out to face the Storm at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Longhorns will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
