Basketball Recap: Canton Warriors vs. Northeast Bradford Panthers
Canton suffered their biggest loss since December 6, 2024 on Wednesday. They were dealt a 61-27 defeat at the hands of the Northeast Bradford Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 350th, while the Panthers are ranked 158th).

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cailyn Vannoy, who posted five points along with six boards and five assists. Vannoy has been hot recently, having also posted three or more steals the last four times she's played. Kendall Kitchen was another key player, putting up ten points.
Canton's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-5. As for Northeast Bradford, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2.
Canton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 54-42 victory against North Penn-Liberty on the 10th. As for Northeast Bradford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Williamson at 6:00 p.m. on January 17th.
