Softball Recap: Rockwood Summit's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Rockwood Summit had lost four games on the road, but after bumping their record up to 8-10 on Friday that streak is in the rearview. They put the hurt on the Notre Dame Bulldogs with a sharp 9-1 win. That's more bragging rights for the Falcons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

As for Notre Dame, their loss dropped their record down to 9-7-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since September 6, 2024.

For Notre Dame's part, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Eloiza Marquez, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI. That hit marked the first that Marquez has got this season.

Coming up, Rockwood Summit will head out to face off against Ritenour at 4:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Notre Dame, they will take on Perryville at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
