Baseball Game Preview: Dublin Fighting Irish vs. Wheeler County Bulldogs

The Dublin Fighting Irish will take on the Wheeler County Bulldogs at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Dublin came up short against Toombs County on Tuesday, falling 15-3. The Fighting Irish haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Dublin saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tal Duke, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Wheeler County unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 16-10 to Johnson County on Thursday.

Everything went Dublin's way against Wheeler County when the teams last played back in April of 2022, as Dublin made off with a 16-4 win. Will Dublin repeat their success, or does Wheeler County have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
