Football Recap: Sedan Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sedan can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 57-12 loss at the hands of the Madison/Hamilton Bulldogs. The Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 22-0.

Despite the loss, Sedan still got an impressive performance from Lincoln Dowell, who rushed for 160 yards and a pair of scores. Dowell is becoming a predictor of the Devils' success: when he posts at least 80 rushing yards the team is 2-1 (and 2-4 when he doesn't).

Sedan now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Madison/Hamilton, they pushed their record up to 6-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Sedan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Madison/Hamilton, they will head out to take on Ell-Saline at 7:00 p.m. on the 7th. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Cardinals have now posted at least 31 points in their last three games.
