Football Game Preview: Catoctin Cougars vs. South Hagerstown Rebels + How To Watch

The Catoctin Cougars will face off against the South Hagerstown Rebels at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Catoctin was beaten by Boonsboro 56-7. The Cougars have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous three game, South Hagerstown brought some dynamite into their most recent matchup. They enjoyed a cozy 34-17 victory over Governor Thomas Johnson on Friday. The high-scoring performance was a welcome turnaround for the Rebels' offense, which had struggled in the games prior.

Catoctin better keep an eye on Josiah Davis. He was instrumental in South Hagerstown's win, rushing for 221 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.1 yards per carry, and also picking up 60 receiving yards and one TD. Those 221 rushing yards gave Davis a new career-high.

South Hagerstown was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 221 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Governor Thomas Johnson only rushed for 44.

Catoctin's loss dropped their record down to 1-3. As for South Hagerstown, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Catoctin was able to grind out a solid victory over South Hagerstown when the teams last played back in September of 2022, winning 23-10. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
