Football Recap: Crosby-Ironton Takes a Loss

Crosby-Ironton extended their losing streak to three on Wednesday, dropping them down to 2-6. They lost 34-12 to the International Falls Broncos. If the Rangers were looking for revenge after losing 37-14 to the Broncos when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for International Falls, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-3. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four games by 22 points or more this season.

International Falls was led to victory by Hayden Swenson and Carson Crandall. Swenson threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, while Crandall gained 94 total yards and two touchdowns. Crandall was even better on defense, making 11 total tackles (2.0 for loss) and defending one pass in addition to snagging an interception.

While Crosby-Ironton had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
