Baseball Recap: First Preparatory Christian Academy Gets the Win

First Preparatory Christian Academy's game last Wednesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Coastal HomeSchool Hurricanes get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. This was a revenge game for the Highlanders: when they faced off against the Hurricanes back in March, they had to take a 7-4 loss.

The result came thanks to Chase Streeper's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up 11 Ks. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, First Preparatory Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hayden Arney, who scored a run while going 1-for-4. What's more, Arney posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Logan Brown also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

First Preparatory Christian Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-12. As for Coastal HomeSchool, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-10.

Coming up, First Preparatory Christian Academy will host Citizens Christian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Patriots' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Highlanders' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Coastal HomeSchool, they will head out on the road to take on John Paul II at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Hurricanes will need to watch out since the Golden Warrriors have now posted at least ten runs in their last three matchups.
