Baseball Game Preview: Bowdon Red Devils vs. Trion Bulldogs

The Bowdon Red Devils will challenge the Trion Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Tuesday, Bowdon made easy work of Manchester and carried off a 16-1 victory. The Red Devils have beaten the Blue Devils the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Blue Devils has come to flipping the script.

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Trion and Mt. Zion, and Trion kept the tradition alive. The Bulldogs put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 15-4 win on Tuesday.

Bowdon pushed their record up to 20-8 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Trion, their victory bumped their record up to 17-7.

Bowdon beat Trion 14-10 in their previous matchup back in March. Do the Red Devils have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bulldogs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
