Baseball Recap: Mitchell County Takes a Loss

Mitchell County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against the Monroe Golden Tornadoes, falling 17-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Eagles of the 17-4 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Mitchell County's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Monroe, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Mitchell County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 20-0 loss against Early County on the 14th. As for Monroe, they have also already played their next contest, a 7-6 win against Sumter County on the 14th.
