It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Williams Valley had no problem doing just that on Friday. They secured a 34-30 W over Marian Catholic. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 41-34 victory back in January.

Marian Catholic's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Deanna Pugh, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine rebounds, and Addison Fritz, who posted 14 points. Those nine boards gave Pugh a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Addy Marek, who scored no points along with five assists and five rebounds.

Williams Valley is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-3 record this season. Marian Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 21-4.
