Football Recap: Ridgeview/Lexington's Undefeated Season over After Eight Games

If Ridgeview/Lexington was feeling good fresh off their 46-8 takedown of Fieldcrest last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs took a 28-19 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Deer Creek-Mackinaw Chiefs on Friday. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Chiefs: they've now lost three in a row.

Having lost for the first time this season, Ridgeview/Lexington fell to 7-1. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, their win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3.

Looking ahead, Ridgeview/Lexington will welcome Gibson City-Melvin-Sibley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Deer Creek-Mackinaw, they will take on Kelly at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
