Baseball Recap: Eastern Wayne Comes Up Short

Eastern Wayne lost to Douglas Byrd back in March and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Warriors came up short against the Eagles, falling 13-3.

Eastern Wayne saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Destin Floyd, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Eastern Wayne's defeat dropped their record down to 0-15. As for Douglas Byrd, the win snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 6-10 record.

Eastern Wayne wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 25-4 loss against North Pitt on the 23rd. As for Douglas Byrd, they are taking a road trip to challenge E.E. Smith at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
