Soccer Game Preview: Kearny vs. Madison

The Kearny Komets will head out on the road to take on the Madison Warhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Kearny is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fourth straight game on Friday. They came up short against Canyon Hills, falling 5-2. While losing is never fun, the Komets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 921st, while the Rattlers are ranked 202nd).

Meanwhile, Madison lost 4-1 to Christian on Friday.

Madison's loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Kearny, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-9-2.

Kearny skirted past Madison 2-1 in their previous meeting on January 10th. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kearny since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
