Basketball Recap: Del Campo Drops Season-High Score on Center

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Del Campo). They secured a 62-56 W over Center on Friday. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for Del Campo considering their 24-point performance the contest before.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Del Campo to victory, but perhaps none more so than Alivia Micka, who dropped a double-double with ten points and 24 boards. Micka is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last six games she's played. Kami Vrapi was another key player, putting up 20 points and eight rebounds.

Del Campo smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 26 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in four consecutive games.

Del Campo's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for Center, they are on an 11-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-10.

Coming up, Del Campo and Oakmont will face off at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. As for Center, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Natomas at 7:00 p.m. on the 30th.
