Northside had already won 13 in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it 14 on Tuesday. They didn't even let the Jonesboro Cardinals on the board, marking their second-straight 17-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Patriots, who have now won nine matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Kassidy Anderson, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, two doubles, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Kelsie Fridley, who went 1-for-2 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Northside hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in seven consecutive games.

Northside's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Jonesboro, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-6.

The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Patriots 2.5, the Lions 3.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
