Baseball Recap: Carroll County Takes a Loss

Carroll County had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 13-15 to make it four. They fell just short of the Henry County Wildcats by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Panthers couldn't push the score so high this time.

Carroll County saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dustin Battiglia, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

As for Henry County, the victory was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 18-11. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games.

On Henry County's side, Baylor Nolin made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Nolin has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up a single earned run in nine consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

As of now, neither Carroll County nor Henry County have any future games scheduled.
