Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Christian Brothers couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They lost to Atwater on the road by a 65-49 margin on Thursday. Christian Brothers' loss signaled the end of their nine-game winning streak.

Leading Atwater to victory were Karissa Hukill and Cami Gibson. Hukill almost dropped a double-double with 20 points and nine rebounds, while Gibson almost dropped a double-double with 15 boards and nine blocks. Hukill continues to improve, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Saige Harcksen was another key player, putting up six points.

Christian Brothers' defeat dropped their record down to 25-7. As for Atwater, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-5 record this season.
