Basketball Recap: San Jacinto Valley Academy Piles Up the Points Against Desert Chapel

San Jacinto Valley Academy waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They claimed a resounding 53-14 victory over the Desert Chapel Eagles. The Wolves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won eight games by 20 points or more this season.

Kaahliyah Lacy was her usual excellent self, dropping a triple-double on 21 points, 13 boards, and ten steals. Lacy is crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Samantha Moore, who posted 12 points and six steals.

San Jacinto Valley Academy smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

San Jacinto Valley Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Desert Chapel, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-9 record this season.

San Jacinto Valley Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 55-32 loss against California School for the Deaf-Riverside on the 28th. Desert Chapel does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
