Softball Recap: Rock Bridge Takes Down Ranked Mid-Buchanan

Rock Bridge faced Mid-Buchanan in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bruins walked away with a 7-3 win over the Dragons. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-7 on Friday.

Rock Bridge is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Mid-Buchanan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-5.

Looking ahead, Rock Bridge will face off against Jefferson City at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Mid-Buchanan, they have already played their next contest, a 2-1 loss against Belton on the 13th.
