Bayside Academy lost against McGill-Toolen back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Admirals fell 3-1 to the Yellowjackets. The Admirals' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

While Bayside Academy had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 20-25, 25-18, 25-22.

Despite the defeat, Bayside Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Ansley Weller had 13 digs and two aces.

Payton Mcclarren was the offensive standout of the match as she had 13 digs and three aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last eight contests. Emmy Beech also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Bayside Academy's loss dropped their record down to 10-6. As for McGill-Toolen, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-2 record this season.

Bayside Academy has already played their next match (against St. Michael Catholic), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for McGill-Toolen, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Mountain Brook on the 11th.
