Football Recap: Moundridge Extends Winning Streak to Four

Moundridge had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 27.7 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They strolled past the Marion Warriors with points to spare, taking the game 28-12. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Paul Grill was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 210 yards and one TD on only 12 carries. Those 210 rushing yards gave him a new career-high.

Moundridge's win bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Marion, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-2.

Coming up, Moundridge will square off against Sedgwick on Friday. The Wildcats will be up against the Cardinals' rather soft defense (which has allowed 29.2 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Marion, they will take on Remington at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
