Football Recap: Mt. Carmel Golden Aces vs. Newton Eagles
Mt. Carmel won the last time they faced Newton and things went their way on Friday too. The Golden Aces blew past the Eagles 32-7. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Golden Aces' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked 195th, while the Eagles are ranked 415th).
Leading Mt. Carmel to victory were River Deisher and Elliott Acree. Deisher rushed for 120 yards and one touchdown while picking up 7.1 yards per carry, while Acree rushed for 112 yards and one TD.
