Soccer Game Preview: Elsinore vs. West Valley

The Elsinore Tigers will head out on the road to face off against the West Valley Mustangs at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses for Elsinore and five for West Valley.

Elsinore lost 5-1 to Tahquitz on Friday.

Meanwhile, West Valley came up short against Temescal Canyon on Friday, falling 8-1. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 964th, while the Titans are ranked 396th).

Elsinore's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8-2. As for West Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 2-11-2.

Everything went Elsinore's way against West Valley in their previous meeting on January 10th, as Elsinore made off with a 5-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Elsinore since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
