Basketball Recap: Tamaqua Picks Up Fourth Straight Win on the Road

Tamaqua had won three straight road games and Millie Black did her part to make it four on Saturday. The Blue Raiders came out on top against the Catasauqua Rough Riders by a score of 50-41 for which the team can thank Black, who almost dropped a double-double with 29 points and nine boards. Her afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.

Another player making a difference was Lauren Ligenza, who posted six points and 14 rebounds. She has been hot for a while, having posted nine or more boards the last 11 times she's played.

Tamaqua's victory bumped their record up to 16-5. As for Catasauqua, they moved to 8-5-1 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

Tamaqua has already played their next game, a 51-28 defeat against North Schuylkill on the 2nd. Catasauqua has also already played their next matchup (against Southern Lehigh), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
