Soccer Game Preview: Indio vs. Coachella Valley

Indio is 1-9 against Coachella Valley since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Indio Rajahs will be playing at home against the Coachella Valley Mighty Arabs at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Coachella Valley will be up against a hot Indio team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. Everything went Indio's way against Yucca Valley on Monday as Indio made off with a 5-2 victory.

Meanwhile, Coachella Valley waltzed into their matchup on Thursday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They never let the Trojans onto the board and left with a 7-0 win. Given the Mighty Arabs' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 284th, while the Trojans are ranked 835th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Indio is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-9-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 37 goals over those six games. As for Coachella Valley, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-2-1.
