Recap: Lake Central Indians vs. Portage Indians
The Lake Central Indians stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They took their game on the road with ease, bagging a 67-27 victory over Portage. The victory was familiar territory for Lake Central who now have five in a row.
Ayla Krygier continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 27 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Aniyah Bishop was another key contributor, scoring six points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Lake Central pushed their record up to 17-3 with that victory, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.3 points. As for Portage, their loss dropped their record down to 11-9.
Lake Central on the road again on Monday and play against Loyola Academy at 10:30 a.m. on January 15th. As for Portage, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Gary West Side at 7:00 p.m. Gary West Side will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 386th, while Portage is ranked 178th).
